Illustrating character concepts for ArtFight 2024
Hello, Inky gang!
I’ve been busy creating a lot more art than usual this month, thanks to an online challenge known as ‘ArtFight’, where you upload your characters for others to ‘attack’ (i.e., draw), and revenge or attack other users by drawing their characters.
There’s something very inspiring about illustrating others’ characters. It’s a process I really enjoy: gathering everything I can find about the character I’m trying to draw — their physical description, backstory, art references, even thematic music — and then assembling all of this into an artwork that will convey the essence of their personality.

Those are excellent! I loved the domestic take on Orpheus and Eurydice, really fun. :) It's always great seeing characters represented by other artists and how they might interpret them. Really nice job.
